For the new year, we were back to the desert, near Buckeye, AZ for a NAHRA trial. Dodger was entered in Senior and Proxy
was along for the ride to help keep me warm as I cheaped out and slept in the truck. She was happy tho as she got to be pickup and bye dog.

Stopping for gas on the way over, the birds were staying in the shade even tho it wasn't hot. Habit I guess.

The morning was COLD!!!

After a little bit of rain a couple of weeks ago, there were these flowers.

And lots of Saguaro cactus.

Dodger earned his first MHR leg!

On the way out of the site the cows were wandering in the road - they leave the horns on so they can defend themselves against the coyotes and javelinas.

A couple of the cows were having a mock fight - ole!

Next, LK and I flew out to Arkansas to pick up something completely different - a Schipperke puppy!

Meet Rapid - DHS Return Fire.

Dodger just doesn't get why there is yet another being in the house that eats more often than he does! ;-)

The next weekend LK & I took Dodger and Proxy back out to the desert, to two obedience trials & an agility trial in Phoenix. The first day
Proxy tied for Second in Open but lost the runoff, and dropped the bar in Utility. Dodger got his second NF leg with First.

The next day Proxy was Fourth in Utility due to an error I made (doing obedience on pain killers doesn't really work), and went down on the sit in Open.
Both placements this weekend were one out of the points - sigh. Fast agility wasn't offered on Sunday so Dodger just hung out.

On the way home we stopped about 30 miles short of the CA border so the dogs could run amok, and found some early flowers -

- mistletoe, and some interesting instructions!

on we go!
