The trip began close to home, in Escondido for a couple of warm up trials after Teaz came out of season.
The first day
she didn't go down on the signals, but the second day she was Third in Utility B and only
just out of the points.
Then we headed up to two trials in Vancouver WA during the week, and it POURED on us the whole time.
I was miserable
which is probably why Teaz did so poorly ...
Back down to Dixon for the NCCCRC specialty. Teaz Q'd in both Utility and Open for her first UDX leg, HIT and HC.
The
first day she was WB for 2pts and the second she was BOB over a special for a major!
Next up was three trials in Boulder City NV. Right before we left I found out the van has a bad front end
and cannot be
repaired until next month, then the battery went out on the truck, so we got a late start.
It seems like everywhere I go,
someone does something dumb in front of a semi and messes up traffic...
The kids got to go swim and run amok at Lake Mead, and on the last day Teaz won Utility for her first four OTCh points!
Vegas is not particularly impressive by day, tho it does have some nice street art.
On the way home we stopped at Zzyzx Road so they could run amok some more, and "share" a toy.
Almost home!
