The first trials of the new year are in Indio, which is near Palm Springs and has Palm Springs prices... ;-)
So we only went for the match on Thursday and Proxy in Open on Friday. LK helped her earn her first CDX leg
which an, er, interesting score (she had a little issue with noises outside the ring during the heeling).
Since there are no flowers this early in the year, I took pictures of interesting clouds and the sunset as
we drove home.
At the end of the month we went out to Phoenix for two trials, towing our new toy!
Its a motorcycle trailer that pops up into a tent - here is our camp for the weekend.
The first day, Lucky Kitty helped Dodger win Third in a big class for 2 points, and Proxy to get her 2nd
CDX leg.
Unfortunately, not even LK can give me a clue to warm Proxy up, so we lost a tie for Fourth.
The next day Lucky Kitty helped Dodger win Third in Utility again for 2 more points, but Proxy decided to
tiptoe thru the broad jump instead of jumping it.
The next weekend it was just Dodger, Lucky Kitty and me. I drove out to Phoenix over night because Friday's class
didn't start until almost 11 am. It was COLD on the way!
Being up to see the dawn is not my idea of fun... ;-)
Dodger Q'd the first day with a decent score but was 1/2 point out of the placements.
Afterwards we ran errands and
drove down Carefree Highway - the same one in the Gordon Lightfoot song?
The next day Lucky Kitty helped Dodger win Second in a big Utility class for 4 points.
The last day Lucky Kitty helped Dodger win Third for 1 more point.
On the way home I took the first flower pictures of the year!
