The next weekend we did trials in Pomona and Van Nuys. The first day I also ring stewarded, which is WAY too much work! ;-) Proxy blew the articles in Utility again,
where she had a 199.5 going and just Q'd in Open. The next day she had,er, a lot of fun in Utility but did do the articles, so apparently dumb mom figured out the problem.
In Open she won a run off for Second and would have been First and HIT if not for dumb mom not being able to walk straight. Sigh. Teaz finished her RN despite me
not having time to either do the walkthru or warm her up.

When we got home most of the ceiling in the back half of downstairs was gone! All of this used to have "popcorn" on it, 30+ year old popcorn.
Ugly and we were tired of it. Of course, now Rick gets to repair a couple of big holes and 30 million nail holes! ;-)

The next weekend we were in the high desert in Victorville for the Apple Valley trials. The weekend started slow with Proxy flunking both classes on Friday,
blowing nice scores in both. Saturday, things got a little better with her winning Open B (no points) and Teaz winning Rally Advanced B for her first RA leg.

We are staying in a campground and there are many birds here - California Quail, Red Winged Blackbirds and Mallard ducks. Also some flowers that I haven't ID'd yet.

The last day Proxy blew the signals again and I didn't show her in Open due to the heat. Teaz saved the day again by earned her second RA leg with Third place.

I was very glad to leave the train behind at the campground - it went by at least once an hour 24 hours a day!

The next weekend Lucky Kitty accompanied Rick and I to Laughlin for a mini-vacation.

Our room overlooked the Colorado River, and a palm tree in the river!

Not much for flowers in the desert!

Saw this on the way home - no idea what it is!
