LK & I took just Proxy down to the obedience trials in Chula Vista, as I was too cheap to get a motel OR take the little trailer, so we slept in the car. ;-) Friday, Proxy won
3rd in Utility (just out of the points) and 1st in Open (no points) as well as High in Trial and High Combined. The no points part was frustrating, but this was her first HC and her
first HIT out of Open, so that is nice.

Later I took Proxy to a park to run amok for awhile and she found a couple of bunnies. Yes, that
blurry thing in the circle is the best picture I could get of one of the bunnies!

Interesting flowers there - not wildflowers tho, as it is too far into the dry season for anything
to live where it isn't being irrigated.

Next Lucky Kitty and I drove Proxy and Teaz to Redmond OR for the three trials held by the Mt Bachelor KC. The competition was heavy so
even tho Proxy scored well, she wasn't able to place. The first day she was in a three way tie for Fourth in Open and lost,
and a tie for Fourth in Utility that I wasn't ready for so also lost. Afterwards as a reward for trying hard, she got to do lure coursing and earned her first CA leg.

The next day she worked hard in Open but still didn't place, and in Utility since I was just back from running Teaz downafter she'd
broken out of a crate in the car, we only got a decent score. Oh well, two more UDX legs and she finished her OM1.
On Sunday she went down on the sit in Open and tied for Fourth in Utility, but since we'd already left due to shade issues, we didn't do the runoff.

The next weekend we were in Ventura for three more trials. The first day Proxy just Q'd in Utility and went down on the sit in Open. Saturday we were
only in Open where she won Fourth. Sunday we only did Utility where she won Second for 5 more OTCh points!

We stayed on the grounds and got to sleep next to this! It, er, wasn't "super silent" ;-)

more travel!
