Next we went to Fillmore for an ASCA trial to finish up Proxy's CD, which she did with High in Trial Other Breed - and was actually HIT overall.

Magic Mountain peeking over the hills at a farm.

Near the trial site someone was using oleander bushes as a windbreak for an orange grove; much nicer looking than trees!

The next weekend we were off to Grass Valley for obedience and conformation. It didn't start out well -

Then, when we got there, the tailgate on the car refused to open and of course the crates were facing out the back - sigh.
Despite that I managed to get things unloaded and took a picture of this hole-y rock.
The first day was two trials, and Proxy was awful. She flunked both Utility classes by being distracted, and went down
on the sit in one of the Opens. She managed a Fourth (out of four qualifiers) in the am Open class, but her heeling was uninspired.

The next day she was back to normal with better scores, and another Fourth this time in Utility, but too many good dogs to get any points. Teaz was Best Bred-By but that was it.

Ohio Ho!
