Back at home, the next weekend we had NAHRA trials at Prado - where we grow BIG grasshoppers. Note the sunglasses behind this guy...

The first day Proxy could only run test as Rick was judging but the second day she earned her first WR leg. It was so HOT both days - over 100 degrees.

Two weeks later we were up in Denverton for two AKC hunt tests. On the way up I took pictures of the sunset as it went from gold to orange

to red to gone!

When we stopped for gas at about 8 pm, there were all these birds on the pavement that was still warm. They weren't eager to move when a car or truck went by...

On Saturday, Proxy Q'd in a test that included a HARD water blind, for her third SH leg!

That Sunday, Proxy was a bad dog on a hard land blind, so we got an early start home.

We ran up to Dixon for the NCCCRC obedience trial with a full car. Q'd in everything we entered and since we were usually the only entry in
each class we also won First in each class. ;-) Proxy was HIT & HC, earned another UDX2 leg and 27 more OM3 points, plus her first GN leg;
Teaz earned her first CD leg and her first RE leg; and Brisa earned her first RN leg.

This time of year about the only interesting thing to look at are the windmills above Denverton!

Back in the car right away to drive home and run a hunt test the next day at Prado, where Proxy finished her SH.
Pelicans hung around as the water test was set up, but decided to leave before dogs got in the water.

And on Sunday, Teaz earned her WCX.
We don't take anything too seriously....

At the end of the weekend, Proxy, Teaz and Rapid got to go for a fun swim and fetch.

The next weekend, it was UKC/HRC field events with Proxy running Seasoned. In the land series,
the judges wanted the throwing blinds "hidden" with brush, so we had fun decorating.

Later, I was in one of the blinds loading a winger, so I decorated me as well!

Proxy earned her first Seasoned leg, and Kelly's Wave got his Finished title.
